Foreign students attacked by locals in south Cyprus

A group of six foreign students were reportedly attacked with “sharp objects” by hooded local n their Limassol home in the early hours of Saturday.

Greek Cypriot police said the students were attacked shortly after midnight on Saturday April 26 when hooded individuals approached their residence and damaged three windows and the main entrance before fleeing the scene.

Police arrived following a report of a fight and are now investigating the case under charges of conspiracy to commit a misdemeanour, illegal entry, causing malicious damage, and possession of offensive instruments.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
