Five arrested, drugs and foreign currencies seized in police operation

At least five people were arrested, over 300 grams of drugs and foreign currencies seized in an operation carried out by northern Cyprus narcotics police on Thursday.

According to police statement, the operation tagged the "Determination Operation" was carried out in Lefkosa on Thursday April 24 by teams from the Anti-Narcotics and Anti-Smuggling Directorate and the Crime Prevention Unit of the Lefkosia Police Department.

A total of 347 grams of substances believed to be drugs, a grinder, and cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales—amounting to 143,380 TL and 20 GBP—were seized.

Five individuals were arrested as suspects during the operation.
