Drugs and guns found in joint operation in Güvercinlik and Gazimağusa

In an operation carried out by police teams affiliated with the İskele Police Department, drugs, weapons, and ammunition were seized, and 37-year-old S.T. was arrested.

Police teams from the Crime Prevention Branch Directorate and the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate, affiliated with the İskele Police Department, carried out the "Joint Force Operation" in Güvercinlik and Gazimağusa on Wednesday April 2.

According to the police press bulletin, as part of the "Joint Force Operation" conducted today, searches were carried out at two separate residences used by S.T. (M-37) in Güvercinlik and Gazimağusa. 

During these searches, approximately 50 grams of cannabis, around 75 grams of cocaine, a partially smoked joint containing a mixture of cannabis and tobacco, 224 pills believed to contain MDMA (Ecstasy), a precision scale suspected to have drug residue, two 9mm caliber pistols, magazines for the pistols, 26 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and 24 rounds of 7.65mm live ammunition were found.

The seized items were taken as evidence. 

The individual in question was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
