Vehicle with driver inside plunged 55 meters off a cliff: Driver seriously injured

A 29-year-old man was seriously injured after his car plunged 55 meters off a cliff on the Kayalar – Sadrazamköy main road for reasons yet to be determined.

The incident happened at noon on Saturday when the vehicle in which Fatih Daşkın was sleeping at the Aşıklar Tepesi area on the northern part of the Kayalar – Sadrazamköy main road, plunged 55 meters off a cliff.

The accident happened while 29-year-old Fatih Daşkın was asleep inside his vehicle. For reasons yet to be determined, the car fell approximately 55 meters down the cliff by the seaside, police said.

Fatih Daşkın, who was seriously injured in the incident, was rescued from the location by the police, Civil Defense, and medical teams, brought back up, and transported by ambulance to Girne Dr. Akçiçek Hospital.

The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
