Two caught with large sums of cash in northern Cyprus: Arrested for not being able to explain the source

In the incident that took place in İskele, two individuals who were caught with foreign currencies and were unable to explain the source of the money and were arrested.

The suspects, S.K. (M-40) and O.D. (F-40) were arrested after failing to explain the source of the large amount of money they were carrying.

According to the Police Press Bulletin, S.K. (M-40) was stopped by the police in İskele due to suspicious behavior. A search of his person and bag revealed 39,615 US dollars and 14,900 euros in cash.

As part of the investigation, a search was also conducted at the residence in Girne, where S.K. was staying with O.D. This search led to the discovery of an additional 1,800 US dollars and 2 Swiss francs.

Both suspects have been arrested as the investigation continues.
