Turkish Cypriot nurses should know basic english as there are many foreingers in the country: TRNC member of parliament
A TRNC member of Parliament, Filiz Besim of the CTP has pointed out the need for Turkish Cypriot nurses to understand basic English due to the large population of foreigners in the country.
Speaking in Parliament on Monday, Filiz Besim pointed out the importance of English proficiency in nursing.
She drew attention to the high number of foreigners in the country emphasizing the importance of basic English for nurses for those who will receive treatment.
Emphasizing the importance of nurses in health, Besim touched on the importance of a fair and peaceful working environment.
Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek also pointed out that universities that provide nursing education in English are generally preferred by foreigners.
Stating that the number of nurses who speak English is low, Dinçyürek emphasized the importance of English in the public sector and noted that they will do the necessary work in this direction.
