Price of cucumber increases by 35 TL in north Cyprus in one day: 1Kg sold for 120 TL

TRNC citizens are not finding it easy as the price of commodities increases.

Emirali Tatlıdil, a well-known tradesmen of Gönyeli, drew attention to the fluctuations in the markets.

In a post on social media, Tatlıdil stated that cucumber prices increased by 35 liras in one day, reaching 120 liras.

Tatlıdil said, "Due to the fluctuations in the markets, cucumbers, which were traded at 85 liras yesterday, started to be traded at 109 liras in the morning. The fluctuation reached 120 liras at noon. I guess there is no such nation that enjoys increasing prices for the holiday!"

The increase in prices of vegetables and fruits before the holiday has also sparked reactions among consumers.
