Individual arrested fro stealing designers dress worth 25,000 TL found to be living illegally in north Cyprus

An individual with no resident permit in north Cyprus was caught stealing a dress worth over 20,000 Turkish Lira.

The suspect identified only as N.C. (24), reportedly entered a clothing store in Güzelyurt as a customer and stole a specially designed dress worth 25,000 TL.

According to information provided by the Police Press Office, the incident took place on March 19, 2025.

Following an investigation, the suspect was located and arrested in Güzelyurt on March 20, 2025, and the stolen dress was found in her possession and seized as evidence.

Further investigation revealed that, according to immigration records, the suspect was residing in the country without legal status or a valid residence permit.

The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
