Nigerian woman becomes first African to travel across all Continents in 71 Hrs
Her expedition began on March 15, 2025, in Antarctica and ended in Sydney, Australia, on March 23, 2025.
Alma set out to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to visit all seven continents, a title currently held by Johnny Cruz Buckingham at 64 hours. Despite facing visa challenges and flight delays—common hurdles for Nigerian passport holders—she successfully carried the Nigerian flag across the globe, making it the first and fastest flag to travel to all seven continents.
To commemorate the journey, Alma invited people worldwide to sign the Nigerian flag, aiming to set a Guinness World Record for the most-signed travel memorabilia.
After completing her journey, she took to social media to celebrate, writing:
“And… scene 🎬 Our Nigerian 🇳🇬 flag is officially the first and fastest flag to visit all 7 continents! 🤯🔥 I guess my work here is done. I cannot wait to be homeeeee 🥹 #AlmaChasingContinents #AlmaHasChasedContinentsAndIsGoingHome.”
