A court in Lefkosa north Cyprus has sentenced a man to 25 days in prison after he was found guilty of sexually harassing a masseuse at a hotel in Lefkoşa.
The case against the defendanct, Hikmet Güney, who was on trial for sexual harassment in Lefkoşa, was concluded Tuesday February 4.
Delivering the judgement, the judge stated that on January 16, at around 4:50 pm, the defendant committed sexual harassment by exposing his genitalia to a female massage therapist at the spa section of a hotel in Lefkoşa.
The judge noted that Güney was arrested at Ercan Airport at 5:45 pm on the same day while attempting to leave the country. Following the investigation, he was remanded in custody for trial and has been in detention for 20 days.
