Five people arrested for smuggling 7 people into north Cyprus in a truck

Turkish Cypriot police on Thursday arrested five foreign nationals who entered north Cyprus illegally hidden inside a truck via the Kyrenia port.

The arrested was made at around 3:00 PM on Tuesday Feb. 2025.

Police said a total of 7 foreign nationals illegally entered northern Cyprus, hidden inside the trailer of a truck that entered the country at Kyrenia Tourism Port on February 25.

As part of the further investigation into the matter, it was determined that the seven individuals in question were allowed to enter the country illegally in order to gain financial benefit.

The arrested individuals are KS 61, MK 48, KM 37, HU 32 and HB 46.

The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
