Cyprus Met Dept issues orange warning as inland temperatures set to drop to -1°C tonight
The Cyprus Met office on Saturday issued an orange warning for extremely cold weather has as forecasts predict mountain areas could see temperatures falling to around -11°C.
Inland temperatures may drop as low as -1°C, while the coasts will see temperatures of around 2°C.
The alert takes effect at 10:00 pm on Saturday and will remain in force until 8:00 am on Sunday, 23 February 2025.
Authorities upgraded a previous yellow warning in response to the anticipated drop in temperatures.
