An individual who stole a phone from a charger in Famagusta reportedly sold It for 1,000 TL

A man was arrested in Gazimağusa for stealing a phone that was charging in the office section of a workplace and selling it for 1,000 TL.

The theft took place at around 4:00 pm on Friday in Gazimağusa when a mobile phone which belonged to an employee that was charging in the office section of a workplace was stolen.

Police said the suspect identified only as M.K., 27 was identified and taken into custody. 

The investigation revealed that he had also obtained money fraudulently by selling the stolen phone to another person for 1,000 TL.

The investigation is ongoing.
