Three people injured in a scary accident in Lefkosa

Three people were injured in a traffic accident that occurred in Lekfosia, northern Cyprus on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at aroundat around 4:50 pm on Tuesday January 21 on Nazım Hikmet Street in Lekfosia.

According to information provided by the Police Press Office, Yücel Özenli (M-64), who was driving the vehicle with license plate KE 264 in the right lane of the dual carriageway at high speed and carelessly heading south, collided with the curb stones of the Metehan Roundabout without reducing his speed upon entering the roundabout. 

Following the impact, the vehicle took flight and struck the roof of a car, which was being driven by Miyesser Genç (F-57) and heading east into the roundabout.

As a result of the collision, the KE 264 vehicle continued uncontrollably in the southward direction, hit the pavement stones, and then struck one M.D. Manır Miah (M-39), who was working in a soil area, before coming to a stop in a ditch.

The injured parties, Yücel Özenli, Miyesser Genç, and M.D. Manır Miah, were taken to the to the Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital where they are still receiving treatment.
