Six people found to be residing in north Cyprus illegally were deported to their home countries
Six foreign nationals who were found to be residing in north Cyprus without permission were deported back to their home country.
The six individuals, five of whom are Nigerian nationals and one a Cameroonian who were identified and arrested Lefkosa, northern Cyprus were brought before a Lefkosia court on January 21, where a three-day extension of their detention was ordered. During this time, their deportation procedures were finalized.
It was reported that the individuals; A.B had been residing illegally in the TRNC for a total of 49 days since November 29, 2024; H.B for 415 days since November 29, 2023; S.K for 1,153 days since November 21, 2021; and K.K.S and M.K.N for 742 days since January 6, 2023.
Meanwhile, Cameroonian national D.N.N had voluntarily turned himself in to the police.
