Man and woman die in traffic accident in north Cyprus

 

A traffic accident on the Güneşköy Water Facilities Road, claimed the lives of two people early Saturday morning.

The accident happened at around 1:50 am on Saturday November 23 when Emre Artuğ Çiftçioğlu, a resident of Bademliköy, who was driving a jeep on the Güneşköy Water Facilities Road lost control of the vehicle upon reaching a right-hand bend.

This caused the vehicle to initially veered off the road, then re-entered uncontrollably before leaving the road again and colliding with a tree at the roadside.

The driver 30-year-old Emre Artuğ Çiftçioğlu and 29-year-old Maria Anatolyevna Danovskaya, also a resident of Bademliköy who was a passenger in the vehicle died in the accident.

The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
