Man who went to police to obtain entry-exit report arrested for living in north Cyprus without a resident permit
A man who went to the police department in Lefkosia to obtain an entry-exit report,was found to have been living in north Cyprus without a resident permit.
The suspect, VM, a Turkmenistan national went to the Lefkosia Police Department Immigration Branch at around 11.40am on June 12, 2024, to get an entry-exit report when he was arrested.
Police said it was determined that he had been in the country without a residence permit for a total of 205 days since November 20, 2023.
He was taken to the Lefkosia district court on Thursday.
Police said he entered the country with a 30-day visa but did not get a permit.Police stated that the investigation was completed and requested that he be sent to the central prison for a period not exceeding 20 days until his cases were heard.
