North Cyprus police finds weapons in a car during traffic search

Police in north Cyprus on Tuesday arrested two people in an operation conducted in Minareliköy, and seized a pistol, a magazine, and six live rounds during a search of a vehicle and the individuals inside.

According to information from the Police Press Office, the operation took place around 9am in a supermarket car park in Minareliköy. 

During the search of a vehicle driven by E.Y. (46) with M.Y.C. (65) as a passenger, it was found that M.Y.C. was in possession of an illegal pistol, two magazines for the pistol, and a total of six live rounds.

Further investigation led to the discovery of another pistol and magazine at M.Y.C.’s residence in Karaoğlanoğlu.

As a result, the individuals involved have been arrested.
