TRNC gives 9 days holiday to public employees to celebrate Ramadan
Ramadan Bayram or Eid al-Fitr begins on Wednesday, April 10 and the TRNC Council of Ministers has decided to give public employees a 9-day holiday by including Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9 to the Ramadan Eid holiday.
The Council of Ministers have announced that they have approved Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9 as administrative holidays.
With the addition of these 2 days and including the weekends the Ramadan Bayram holiday has increased to 9 days for public employees.
In his statement on the subject, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel stated that they had taken a decision to consider the one and a half days prior to the Bayram holiday as administrative leave for public employees.
“This will mean that there will be a 9 day holiday for public employees. I hope that Ramadan Bayram or Eid al-Fitr will be beneficial to all our people” said Üstel.
