North Cyprus announces another increase in electricity tariffs

The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has announced another increase in electricity prices.

Kib-Tek in a written statement on Saturday, Dec., 30., announced that it has increased both single-time and 3-time tariffs by 6.78 percent, effective from January 1, 2024.

According to the statement, the "poor exemption" housing tariff and fixed fees were not increased.

Accordingly, in single-time tariff, temporary current fee per kW will be increased from 7.7381 to 8.2627 TL; Residential tariff fee between 0-250 kWh increased from 2.6963 to 2.8791 TL; Residential tariff fee between 251-500 kWh will be increased from 5.5625 to 5.9396 TL; Residential tariff between 501-750 kWh increased from 5.9810 TL to 6.3865 TL; Residential tariff between 751-1000 kWh increased from 6.4831 TL to 6.9226 TL; Residential tariff over 1001 kWh increased from 7.7383 TL to 8.2629 TL.
