4.9 magnitude quake hits Turkey on Sunday
A strong quake measuring almost 5 magnitude on the richter scale hit the southern Turkish province of Adana, early Sunday afternoon.
The epicentre was 65 kilometers northwest of Karanmanmaras, a city almost levelled by the recent mammoth tremors.
The Turkish Disaster Management Authority, AFAD, said on Twitter that
the earthquake occurred in the district of Saim Beli district, at a
depth of 6.67 km, at 15:46 local time.
There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.
