Catastrophic accident in Lefkosa on Saturday

A shocking accident involving a foreigner that happened in Küçük Kaymaklı, Lefkosa on Saturday morning surprised those who saw it. 

According to reports by local media, the accident involving a foreigner happened at about 3:20am on Saturday, May, 5 on Bolu Road, Küçük Kaymaklı, Lefkosa.

According to police report, a 26-year-old who is a student in the country reportedly lost control of the vehicle when he got to a street junction which made the vehicle to leave the road and hit a roadside lamppost first. He then crashed onto a wall of a shop on the street.  

The vehicle came to a stop after hitting another parked car on the sidewalk and a tree next to it. 

Police said he was driving carelessly at an extreme speed thereby posing a danger to the public.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and the investigation continues.
