27 New cases of coronavirus reported in TRNC on Wednesday, 17 are local cases

27 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Northern Cyprus on Wednesday which brings the total number of cases there so far to 1,971.

1,633 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours and 27 new cases were confirmed.

1 of the cases came to the TRNC by air, 9 persons came in contact with previous cases who are under surveillance, and 17 were local cases.

Of the cases, 2 were from Lefkosa, 22 from Kyrenia, 2 from Famagusta, 1 from abroad.

They have started receiving treatment at the State Hospital Quarantine Service in Lefkosa.

One person was taken into intensive care unit.

20 people were discharged from the hospital after completing treatment.
