A father spent two days jetting across the US with his flight attendant daughter so he could spend time with her over Christmas.
Pierce
Vaughan works as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines and was
scheduled to work December 24 and 25, even though her father Hal was
desperate to spend the festive season with her.
Mike Levy, from Ohio, said Hal decided to join his daughter Pierce on her flights on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
I
had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home. His
daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over
Christmas, the 31-year-old wrote on Facebook.
Hal decided he
would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her
flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his
daughter for Christmas. What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very
Merry Christmas!
Speaking to ABC News, Mike added,
I thought that it was extremely special of him to do for his daughter, so that she didn’t have to spend Christmas Eve alone.
Pierce
also shared an update on Facebook, writing to her mum Kimberly that dad
and daughter “made it” and also managed to land a first class upgrade
for one of the flights.
Dad’s
first trip using his benefits was a success! A special thanks to all of
the patient, wonderful gate agents around the country and my perfect
crew. He made it on every flight and even got first class RSW-DTW (Christmas miracle), she wrote.
She
also gave a shout out to Mike “for being a great first class passenger
& helping us to understand how cool this actually is!”
