Police study CCTV footage in Kardashian heists as they hunt for robbers

France: French police are still hunting for five men suspected of assaulting US reality TV star, Kim Kardashian West in a private Paris residence early Monday before robbing her of her jewellery worth more than $US10 million.

Paris police say they are analysing CCTV footage from surveillance cameras to try to identify the assailants, who were masked and wore fake police emblems on their jackets.

After forcing their way into Kim's Paris apartment in the chic eighth district, the robbers tied her up at gunpoint and locked her in a bathroom, stole her jewellery before escaping on bicycles.

They stole her jewellery box containing items worth $US6.7 million as well as a ring worth $US4.5 million believed to the the engagement ring her husband Kanye West gave her in 2013.

Kim was in Paris to attend the fashion week shows when the shocking incident happened and quickly returned to the US after the incident.

Paris prosecutors have declined to comment on whether the robbers got help from the reality TV star's entourage.

Kim's stylist was in the residence at the time, of the robbery incident and alerted police, but her bodyguard was not present, according to the prosecutor's office.
