release of their leader Nnamdi Kanu, were led by Kanu’s mother Ugoeze Nnenna Kanu.

They demand justice in the trial of the IPOB leader, who is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services. The Biafran protesters in Brussels hope they can use the opportunity to tell the Biafra story directly to the hearing of European Union through their mega protest.
Kanu together with his co-accused, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi are accused of treasonable felony, brought against them by the Federal government of Nigeria.

While they have been granted bail twice by a federal high court sitting in Abuja, the activists were being denied to be released due to concerns that they may jump the bail and leave Nigeria. It’s not the first time Biafrans protest in Belgium.
