The youth leader Mr Chika Uwabuofu, narrated
to reporters that, the herdsmen had told their victims that they were being
held hostage and manhandled because four of their cows were killed and
butchered in the neighborhood. According to him, he said
“For some time now, Fulani herdsmen have been harassing our men and women in their farms, eating the food in their barns and using their cows to destroy their crops.

Recall that recently some Fulani herdsmen
attacked and killed scores of people in Abia state and this has since led to a
public clamor for the federal government to quickly curb the menace before it
leads to ethic crisis.
